From little kids to grown ups here are the best luxury hotel pools for family fun, based on our travels so far.
The Best Luxury Hotel Pools for Little Ones
North America
Four Seasons Hualalai – Hawaii
Toddlers and fretful parents rejoice at the sight of the shallow sand bottom pool, a treasure trunk filled with toys, and lounge chairs for littles and bigs at Four Seasons Hualalai Keiki Pool.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea – Hawaii
The toddler portion of the Four Seasons Resort Maui Waterfall Pool isn’t big, but it is irresistible.

2. Europe
Terre Blanche – Provence, France
More French Riviera glam than beach scene, the colourful tile children’s pool at Domaine Terre Blanche in France is sized right for little ones.

The Best Luxury Hotel Pools for Bigger Kids and Grown-ups
Asia
Four Seasons Hong Kong
Jaw-dropping views in every direction – bustling Victoria Harbour, Kowloon, and gleaming skyscrapers – surround the Pool Terrace at Four Seasons Hong Kong. Take it all in from a choice of pools – lap pool, infinity pool, cold plunge pool, and whirlpools.
Adler Mountain Lodge – Italy
The infinity pool at the Adler Mountain Lodge overlooks Seiser Alm, Europe’s largest high Alpine meadow. After a day of hiking or skiing, soak in the warm water infused with salt and soak up the views.

Four Seasons Koh Samui – Thailand
The new 50-metre infinity pool at Four Seasons Koh Samui offers views of the Gulf of Siam and the resort’s private beach. After cooling off, relax on a lounge chair, over-sized sofa, or a bar chair built for two at CoCoRum, the fabulous poolside bar.

The Peninsula Bangkok, Thailand
The series of outdoor pools at The Peninsula Bangkok offer a mesmerizing view of Bangkok’s bustling Chao Phraya River. Watch long-tail boats dart amongst chugging passenger ferries and tug boats struggle upstream from an outdoor oasis in Thailand’s capital city.

Four Seasons Maui – Hawaii
Once the kids graduate from the toddler pool at the Four Seasons Maui, the Fountain Pool is where the action is. If you get tired of the family frolicking, retreat to the adult-only Serenity Pool for some quiet time.

Terre Blanche – Provence – France
The 600 square metre infinity-edge pool at Terre Blanche offers unobstructed views of Provence’s famous perched villages. After a dip, be serenaded by cicadas while chilling in a cabana or languishing in a lounge chair. The massive size and panoramic views of the Provençal countryside make the infinity pool at Terre Blanche one of the best luxury hotel pools for family fun.

Four Seasons Hualalai – Hawaii
Four Seasons Hualalai has a pool for each day of the week. In King’s Pond, you can swim or snorkel amongst 4000 tropical fish in a 1.8 million gallon aquarium-like setting.

For a more traditional family pool experience, the Sea Shell Pool beside the beach is designed for fun.

Mauna Lani Bay Hotel Bungalows – Hawaii
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean and long enough for laps, a private pool at one of the Mauna Lani Bungalows is fabulous. The only downside is that you may find it difficult to leave your private paradise and explore the natural beauty outside the front door.

Four Seasons Milan – Italy
With stone walls, an arched brick ceiling, and luxurious lounge chairs, the indoor pool at Four Seasons Milan is everything you expect from a leading luxury hotel in Italy’s fashion capital – sophisticated, stylish, and oh so chic.

Do you have a favourite hotel pool? Please let me know!
Great article on hotel pools, but the downside is always that you are sharing the pool with other guests. What about renting your own private luxury villa? We have some of the largest and most amazing private pool villas in the region at Samujana.
Love your site!!
Thank you! A private pool is always nice – a few of the properties on the list offer villas with private pools, as well as larger resort pools if you are feeling social.
Wow, I’ve stayed in a few of them and these are all gorgeous places to stay and also enjoy the pools….adding more to my bucket list
Thanks Noel!
Some beautiful options, even for those of us without a family tagging along. I think I’d choose the Adler Mountain Lodge in Italy though.
The Adler Mountain Lodge is spectacular Megan. I’m planning to return later this year.
Some gorgeous pools in Hawaii! But my favourite is the one in Bangkok; “sight-seeing” (by watching what’s going past on the river) and swimming in a pool at the same time? Yes, please!
I loved sitting by the pool and watching all of the action on Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River – it was mesmerizing!
You have been to some incredible hotels with great pools! I am often turned away from the pool if it is too rowdy, I tend to prefer oceans and lakes. But these pools look gorgeous. My favorite hotel pool was at the Moon Palace Resort in Jamaica. My bungalow had its own private pool which was fantastic!
Thank you! I enjoy swimming in the ocean too. Moon Palace Resort in Jamaica sounds fabulous – I am going to check it out 🙂
Nice! I’d choose Adler Mountain Lodge too! Somehow I prefer green landscape view from the pool rather than a beach or city view. The latest hotel pool that I’ve enjoyed and liked is Hilton Kuala Lumpur. It’s quite small, and not really suitable to do laps but the view from that floor is just nice!
The Adler Mountain Lodge is a unique spot. I read that the pool is suspended above the meadow. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Hilton Kuala Lumpur.
These are all so beautiful, I can’t decide which is my favorite! It’s always great to know that there are activities out there fit for families of all kinds.
Thanks, Carmen. I agree, it is difficult to choose a favourite!
I do not have kids yet but I would love to stay in any of these hotels (even without kids). Beautiful pictures as well. I love the variety you were able show in this post. There’s something for everyone. For mountain lovers, ocean people, as well as Europe and mix of Asia.
Thank you so much, Melanie!
Wow! Those are some lucky kids! Your photos are stunning.
Thanks, Mags!
The thing I looked to the most when traveling as a kid would have to be the hotel pool! So
Many memories haha! Great list!
Me too – Thanks!
