With two Pan Pacific hotels in Whistler Village, you may wonder how to choose the best place to stay. Each of the properties offers an award-winning experience, but there are a few differences between the hotels. I’ve stayed at both resorts and wrote this article to help you choose the best Pan Pacific hotel in Whistler based on your needs and priorities.
Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside
Named Canada’s Best Ski Hotel for the 10th consecutive year in the 2022 World Ski Awards, Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside is centrally located in the Village, steps from the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas. Described as Whistler’s best address, you can’t beat the Pan Pacific Mountainside’s location to access the mountains and Village. Pan Pacific Mountainside was the first luxury hotel I stayed at in Whistler, and it remains a favourite.
Accommodation
The entire hotel is suites. The smallest is a studio at just over 400 square feet. A queen-size Murphy bed can be lowered from the wall for sleeping and then stored away for additional living space. This option works well for one or two people.
Couples and small families appreciate the one-bedroom suites (525 square feet). Each suite includes a king or queen-sized bed in a separate bedroom and a pull-out queen-sized sofa bed in the living area.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite (810 square feet) is perfect for couples or larger families. This suite includes a master bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a queen-size sofa bed.
All of the suites include a fully stocked kitchen, dining table, gas fireplace and balcony.
Dining
A fully equipped kitchen is available if you prefer to cook. But there are loads of options if you wish to order in or dine out in Whistler Village. You can see a selection of my favourite Whistler Restaurants on this Google Map.
Hotel guests can order continental-style breakfast delivered each morning, along with freshly baked pastries and juice. Options include make-your-own eggs and bacon, breakfast burrito or granola and yogurt parfait.
The Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub, located lobby-level at the Pan Pacific Mountainside, is a long-time favourite. Be sure to arrive early to secure a table inside or out. The vibrant atmosphere, extensive beer selection, and heaping plates of nachos make many first-time visitors return guests!

If you don’t feel like leaving your cozy suite, in-room dining is available from the Dubh Linn Gate.
Amenities
At Pan Pacific Mountainside, relax in one of two hot tubs and take a dip in the heated outdoor saltwater pool overlooking Whistler Village and the spectacular mountain setting.

Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre
After reading about the fabulous Pan Pacific Mountainside, you might wonder why you should consider Pan Pacific Whistler Village for your stay in Whistler. There are a few reasons to book a stay at this multi-award-winning property!
Accommodation
Both Pan Pacific hotels offer all-suite accommodation, but bigger suites are available at Pan Pacific Whistler Village. If you have a large family or want maximum space, Pan Pacific Whistler Village is an excellent choice. Like Pan Pacific Mountainside, all of Pan Pacific Pacific Whistler Village’s suites include fully equipped kitchens and gas fireplaces.

Studio and one-bedroom suites are available at the Whistler Village property, but the more spacious suites begin with the two-bedroom option. These suites (1060 square feet) include two bathrooms, a primary bedroom with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with a queen-size bed and a queen-size sofa bed in the living area.

The two bedroom & den suite (1231 sq ft) sleeps up to eight, with a primary bedroom with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with a queen-size bed, a queen-size sofa bed in the living area and a double sofa bed in the den.
Additional accommodation options include the Canuck Place suite, two-bedroom penthouse, and the foot three-bedroom penthouse (1565 sq ft) with two fireplaces.
Dining
At Pan Pacific Whistler Village, guests enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast each morning. Breakfast options include smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, cook-your-own bacon and eggs, and cereal and milk. Freshly baked pastries, bread for toasting, and fresh juice accompany each continental breakfast order.
The locally-owned Raven Room cocktail bar and eatery, located lobby level at the Pan Pacific Whistler Village, is another compelling reason to stay upstairs. Although the Pan Pacific Mountainside is minutes away, if you stay at Pan Pacific Whistler Village, you only need to take an elevator back to your suite at the end of the evening.

Considered one of Whistler’s finest bars, the Raven Room offers a seasonal and creative food and cocktail menu, including punch bowl drinks for two and big plates for sharing. You can make a reservation and check out the menu here.
Amenities
Like Pan Pacific Mountainside, the Pan Pacific Whistler Village offers a heated outdoor saltwater pool with two hot tubs. But there is also a day spa located within the hotel. If walking to and from the Whistler Day Spa in your robe is appealing, you’ll want to choose the Pan Pacific Whistler Village for your stay in Whistler.
Pet-Friendly
Dogs and cats are welcome at Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre and receive animal-friendly amenities, including food and water bowls, biodegradable poop bags, a blanket and tasty treats. Pet-friendly trails and parks are minutes from the Pan Pacific Village Centre.
