Discover How You Can Be Part of the World’s First Crowdsourced Boutique Hotel

When Marcus Orbé and Kristin Lindenberg decided to travel the world, they had no idea it would lead to the development of the Amberlair movement and the world’s first crowdsourced boutique hotel. After recognizing that their most enjoyable experiences were at boutique hotels, Marcus and Kristin were inspired design and develop one. But not on their own. Embracing crowdsourcing and crowdfunding, Marcus and Kristin reached out to the online community of avid travelers and boutique hotel lovers, known as #boholovers on social media or simply BohoLovers, for input.

Amberlair Crowdsourced Boutique Hotel – Location

Through extensive social media engagement, the #boholover community identified Italy as the location of the first Amberlair crowdsourced boutique hotel. Marcus and Kristin scoured the country to find the perfect boutique hotel property. They discovered it in the region of Puglia, located in the easternmost region of Italy, bordered by the crystalline Adriatic and Ionian seas. Imagine an Italian villa from the early 1900’s surrounded by olive trees and vineyards – this will become the first Amberlair boutique hotel. But only with your help.

World’s First Crowdsourced Boutique Hotel – What’s Next?

The next phase is the boutique hotel’s design and development. And Marcus and Kristin are reaching out once again for input into the hotel’s design and construction through a crowdfunding campaign. Everything is open for discussion. According to Marcus,” We’ve launched this crowdfunding campaign to give you the chance to back the first ever crowdsourced boutique hotel. After the campaign’s completion, we’ll be hard at work (with your input!) preparing for a very exciting grand opening in 2020. We’ll need help deciding on style and amenities – you won’t want to miss out!”.

I met Marcus and Kristin through social media during the early days of the Amberlair movement. I’m intrigued by their approach to building ‘a hotel for the people, by the people’. This is a sponsored post about Amberlair – the world’s first crowdsourced boutique hotel.
