The Blue Grouse Winery Grouse House has two-bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a central living space – it’s perfect for two couples or a family. Contemporary farmhouse-style design, custom furniture, luxury linens, and high-quality finishing make for a luxurious and cozy retreat.
The well-equipped kitchen overlooks a generous dining table ideal for enjoying the Cowichan Valley’s fabulous food and drink. On a warm day, you can BBQ and eat on the terrace overlooking the vineyards.
The central living space includes books, puzzles, a flat-screen television, and a lounge-worthy sofa.
Blue Grouse Winery Tasting Room
Sip and purchase the award-winning portfolio of Blue Grouse wine, including Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Rose in the estate’s stunning Tasting Room constructed using British Columbia timber and locally-quarried stone. Look closely at the building’s design, inspired by the winery’s namesake, the blue grouse. The dusky-blue at the entrance resembles the grouse’s tail feathers, the curved ceiling is reminiscent of a grouse’s belly, and the grouse’s head and neck inspired the building’s roofline (not visible in the picture below).
A ‘bed and bottle’ retreat, Grouse House guests receive one bottle of wine upon check-in. And since it’s only a short stroll through the vineyards back to your winery retreat, you don’t have to worry about calling a cab (or Uber when rideshare arrives on Vancouver Island).

Blue Grouse is so close to us in Victoria! We visited the winery a few years ago — the wine touring is quite fun in the Cowichan area. But we didn’t know about the Grouse House. Having such a a lovely homey place to stay would mean one could really slowly enjoy the Cowichan Valley and all it has to offer… Glad we found out about it!
Grouse House is a new addition to the Blue Grouse Estate Winery. I agree, the location is ideal for exploring the Cowichan Valley food and wine scene – I have a feeling we will be spending more time up there š

This seems like the kind of thing I would enjoy with my family. Lovely pictures. We don’t have too many wineries here in India. But I am looking forward to a similar luxurious stay at a coffee plantation with stunning views, good food, beautiful villa in Jan.
