At the Airport

Premium Cabin passengers are eligible for early boarding. This enables travelers to find a convenient spot for carry-on luggage and get settled before general boarding.

Inflight Food and Drinks

Alaska Airlines Premium Class passengers receive one complimentary lite bites snack pack, as well as a selection of liquor, beer, and wine by the glass. Spirits, beer, and wine cost $6-$7 dollars in the Main Cabin. Additional snacks and meals are available for purchase.

Alaska Airlines Premium Class Cabin and Seats

Located between First Class and the Main Cabin, the Premium Cabin consists of up to five rows of seats depending on the aircraft type. A power outlet is available at every Premium Class seat. Alaska Airlines Premium Cabin seats, covered in Recaro leather, offer four inches more legroom than the Main Cabin seats. The Premium Cabin and Main Cabin seats are the same widths (17″). Passengers looking for more space may want to consider the First Class seats (21″ wide).

Traveling in Alaska Airlines Premium Cabin does not provide access to Alaska Airlines Lounges, but passengers can purchase a day pass for $45.

Alaska Airlines Premium Class Review – Travel Tips

• Premium Class is available on over 90% of Alaska’s 737 fleet. It should be available on all 737-900s by spring 2018.
• The Alaska Airlines website states that upgrades from Main Cabin to Premium Class begin at $15. The price depends on the length of the flight. I recently paid $99 one-way to upgrade to Alaska Airlines Premium Cabin on a flight from Seattle to Hawaii.
• Book Alaska Airlines Premium Class when you purchase your flights or while checking in online, at a kiosk, or with an Alaska customer service agent. MVP®, MVP® Gold, and Gold 75K Mileage Plan members may be eligible for a free upgrade to Premium Class, depending on the fare purchased.
