Discover the SWISS First Class Lounge Experience

First class lounges are one of my favourite things and I was excited to experience the SWISS First Class Lounge on a recent trip to Zurich, Switzerland.

SWISS First Class Lounge – First Impression

The First Class Lounge in Zurich is chic and contemporary with a grey and white colour palate. I visited during mid-day, and the lounge was almost empty. A perfect opportunity to sample the various seating options.

SWISS First Class Lounge Food and Drinks

The SWISS First Lounge offers guests an opportunity to sit in a dining area overlooking the tarmac and terminal building. With fresh flowers, crisp linens and a well-set table, a seat in the dining area was a natural first choice.A table for two in the Swiss First Class Lounge in Zurich

After reviewing the à la carte menu, I selected a bowl of soup with Swiss herbs and a glass of rosé champagne. The soup was slightly frothy and tasted wonderful.

The SWISS First Class Lounge offers multiple dining options. If you don’t feel like sitting at a table in the restaurant and ordering off the menu, it is possible to select various food items from a well-stocked buffet in the lounge area.

The drink selection was extensive and like every other First Class lounge I have visited, I hoped for a longer layover!

Lounge Seating Areas

After lunch, I moved to a comfortable sofa in the main lounge area. I had the room to myself, but during a busy time, this open space would lack privacy. This SWISS First Lounge isn’t very large. But, if you prefer a more intimate sitting area, there is a library with bookshelves and a television tucked around the far corner.

Business Centre

Lounge guests can use the small, but fully provisioned business centre. If you prefer to work elsewhere, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the lounge.

Other Amenities

Shower and sleep rooms are available for lounge visitors. Unfortunately, the very average washrooms are located just outside of the SWISS First Lounge.

Travel Tips

  • There are numerous SWISS First Class Lounges at Zurich Airport.
  • I prefer the SWISS First Lounge in Terminal E, but due to destination and departure gate, it’s not always possible to visit this lounge. You can read more about it here.
  • Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the SWISS lounges.
