The award-winning Bangkok Airways has an ambitious brand promise – happiness throughout the journey for all passengers. At a time when flying in Economy Class has largely lost its sparkle, Bangkok Airways delivers happiness. Read this Bangkok Airways Economy Class Review and discover how they do it.

Before You Fly

The Bangkok Airways website contains excellent information about destinations, tickets, airport transportation, check-in, and airport lounges. Book your ticket online or with a customer service agent.

Special meals for children (2-12 years), infants, vegetarians, etc. are available when you book your ticket. There is no extra charge for the meals served onboard the aircraft.

Efficient Check-in

Bangkok Airways passengers can choose from numerous check-in options – self-serve kiosks, online, or with a customer service agent.

At busy Bangkok International Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), I used a self-serve kiosk and proceeded directly to the security screening line. My happiness was very much intact at this point in the journey.

Complimentary Checked Bag

Bangkok Airways Economy Class passengers are allowed one free checked bag (up to 20kg). Goodbye, tedious boarding process and overstuffed overhead bins. Hello, happiness!

Airport Lounge Access

Economy Class passengers are invited to visit the Bangkok Airways airport lounge on a complimentary basis, where there are snacks, drinks, and free WiFi. The larger Bangkok Airways lounges have computers as well as a children’s play area.

Bangkok Airways Economy Class Review – On Board Experience

My recent flights with Bangkok Airways ranged from just under 1 hour (Bangkok to Koh Samui) to approximately two hours (Bangkok to Luang Prabang).

Bangkok Airways uses an Airbus 319 aircraft with well over 100 Economy Class seats on the Bangkok to Koh Samui route. On this short flight, Economy Class passengers were offered a complimentary hot meal and drink service in an efficient and attentive manner. The service felt personal, and the Economy Class passengers seemed happy. I know I was!
